Symptoms
Visa VCF 4 Transaction Loader and Validation Program overstating uploaded transactions
After a recent upgrade from 12.1.3 to 12.2.9 there is different functionality in the Visa VCF 4 Transaction Loader and Validation Program (APXVVCF4). The log file is overstating the number of credit card transactions successfully uploaded. The number of validated transactions is correct and matches the count on the ap_credit_card_trxns_all table.
For example:
In R12.1, the log file shows;
707 credit card transactions were successfully uploaded.
Number of new credit card accounts registered: 264.
Validating 707 transactions.
Rows valid: 707.
In R12.2, for the same data file, the log file shows;
1110 credit card transactions were successfully uploaded.
Number of new credit card accounts registered: 264.
Validating 707 transactions.
Rows valid: 707.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Upload the Visa File.
2. Run the VCF 4 Transaction Loader and Validation Program.
3. Review output of the log file.
