E-BI Publisher: Group Left Shows No Data Found When Having 11.1.1.5 Compatibility Mode Enabled (Doc ID 2993772.1)

Symptoms

In BI Publisher 12.2.1.4.0, when using Group Left functionality in a Report with 8 columns or more, the functionality does not work if 11.1.1.5 Compatibility Mode is enabled in Administration > Runtime Configuration > Properties.

When editing the Report, No Data Found will be displayed in the Group Left column when when trying to Open the Report.

Steps

  1. Create a Data Model
  2. Verify 11.1.1.5 Compatibility Mode is not enabled
  3. Create a Report using the above Data Model
  4. Use the Layout Editor to create a BI Publisher layout (XPT) with a table with at least 8 columns
  5. Use the Group Left functionality for several columns (at least up to the 8th column). Verify no issues occur
  6. In Administration > Runtime Configuration > Properties, set 11.1.1.5 Compatibility Mode to True
  7. Edit the Report and verify No Data Found appears in the column instead of the expected values from the XML file.
