Delete Allocation And Material Requirements Not Updating Material Requirements On Work Orders After Component Return (Doc ID 2993828.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Requirements are not updating material requirements on Work Order.

When returning material to an EAM work order with the Delete Allocations and Material Requirements check box checked, the work order material requirements are not updating to the net issued qty (Qty Issued minus Qty Returned).

Upon confirmation of the material returned to inventory the confirmation screen shows the issue qty is decremented. But, when users re-query the WO, the qty issued is returned to the original qty prior to the return and the required qty is matched to the issued qty.

Once the Material Transaction Interface Manager is launched the returned qty is transacted and the issued qty is decremented but the requirement is NOT adjusted to the issued qty.

STEPS

1. Responsibility: Maintenance Super User.
2. Create work order with material requirements.
3. Release work order and issue materials.
4. Return Material to work order with the Delete Allocations and Material Requirement check box checked.
5. Make sure Material Transaction interface Manager is Launched.
6. Notice the material requirements are not updated to the "qty issued - the qty returned".
