Goal
Payment format E-Text templates have a functionality called "Periodic Sequences". This allows a payment process profile account to have a sequence that is maintained across payment process requests.
And the sequence can be reset at anytime.
See note "R12 AP: How To Setup Periodic Sequences For Use In eText Templates" (Doc ID 1999286.1) for more information on period sequences and E-Text templates.
However, this functionality is not available in XSL templates (like ISO-20022).
Internal Enhancement Request 30504718 : "XSL SHOULD SUPPORT PERIODIC SEQUENCE INCREMENTATION" has been logged to add this functionality, but has not been implemented yet.
This document describes how to emulate the functionality in XSL templates.
