Symptoms

Project Template key members are not being added to new Projects when a template is used.

The only members that appear on the project are the ones that entered on the Quick Entry form.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps;

  1. Log into a Projects responsibility
  2. Navigate to Setups > Projects > Project Template
  3. Look up the template
  4. Enter a Project Trans Duration start date and end date on the project template
  5. Enter one or more key members to roles that are to be copied to new projects
  6. Update the quick entry form with one or more key members and roles that are to be entered when a project is created
    1. These roles must be different than the roles entered on the template
  7. Create a new Project using the template with a future start effective date and effective end date
  8. Observe the key members from the quick entry form added to the new project and key members from the template are not.
