Symptoms
Order Purge Program exhibiting poor performance after upgrading to Release 12.2.10 from Release 12.1.3.
For example, in Release 12.1.3, 1.8 million order lines could be purged in 16 hours.
Release 12.2.10, only 531,904 order lines can be purged in 42 hours.
Records are growing exponentially given the inability to purge as many records after the upgrade.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. OM Super User Responsibility
2. Run Order Purge Program
