When is "Elections Made Date" Populated in Self Service Benefits? (Doc ID 3004299.1)

 When employees make elections in Employee Self-Service > Benefits > Update Benefits Elections:

 If they click through the Update Enrollment page, but do not click on the Finish button at the end of the Enrollment train on the Confirmation page,
    - The elections are being written to the Enrollment Results records.  
    - Specifically the Elections Made Date is populated without clicking the 'Finish' button.

Is this to be expected?
