Symptoms

When submitting a payment process request (PPR) the following error occurs:

You have encountered an unexpected error.

Clicking on Details then shows the following error:

oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20100: ORA-20100: File o000333333.tmp creation failed.
File could not be opened or operated on as requested.

Action: Make sure the directory - /oracle/applebs/inst/apps/XXXXXXX/YYYYYY - is a valid directory with write permissions and is accessible from the

Steps Followed:

  1. From a Payables Responsibility navigate to Payments -> Entry -> Payments Manager
  2. Click on "Submit Single Payment Process Request"
  3. Fill out the various parameters, or use a template
  4. Click "Submit"
