Last updated on APRIL 12, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Tax - Version 12.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For some specific tax rate codes, it is not possible to add EMEA_VAT_REPORTING_TYPE code.

Steps
1. Go to tax manager responsibility,
2. Query the tax rate and the configuration owner  (OU)
3. click on go
4. then click on the Tax Reporting Codes
5.  The expected reporting type code is returned BUT it cannot be associated to the tax rate.
6. save the changes.

Note:

OFFSET TAX rates (TAX_TYPE = OFFSET) is not considered for this specific corruption;hence those codes are not needed to be created /fixed ; as this setup affect mainly the EMEA VAT reporting process, and they are not determined by the tax reporting code;
Instead, codes are identified using the offset_flag on the invoices.
