R12: ECC V11 General Ledger Dashboard Is Not Displaying Any Data After Enabling Security Rules (Doc ID 3021035.1)

Last updated on JULY 24, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Command Center Framework - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to Enterprise Command Center V11, noticed that there is no data displayed in the General Ledger Command Center Dashboards when using "Security Rule" enabled for General Ledger Command Center Datasets ("gl-aa", "gl-ab", "gl-imp").

When going into "Enter Journals" form through "General Ledger responsibility -> Journals -> Enter",  notice that there are records for the same period and ledger specified as in the "General Ledger Command Center" responsibility.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to "ECC Developer -> Data Designer -> Data Sets.
2. In the "Data Sets" webpage, select "All Data Sets" and then type "gl" in order to retrieve only General Ledger Datasets.
3. In the same webpage "Data Sets", after retrieving the General Ledger Datasets, go to one of it ("gl-aa") and press on "Edit" button.
4. Go to "Security Rule" tab and ensure that the field "Enabled" has a tick in order to enable Security Rules defined for the Accounting Flexfield Structure.
5. Go to "General Ledger Responsibility -> General Ledger Command Center".
6. Go to any of the existing tabs: "Account Analysis", "Journal Processing", "Balances".
7. Notice that there is no data, however the "GLECCDLCP: General Ledger Command Center Data Load" was successfully executed for the desired period.
