PO Output For Communication Fails With Error 'PoPDFExceptionoracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException: PO_PDF_XML_FAILED' (Doc ID 3028465.1)

Symptoms


 'PO Output for Communication' program  completes in Error with the following message in log file.

PoPDFExceptionoracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException: PO_PDF_XML_FAILED
oracle.apps.po.communicate.PoPDFException: PO_PDF_XML_FAILED
rolling back the complete program

 

FND Log shows the following messages

po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN Value of File clob is null
po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGENBefore calling PO_HR_LOCATION.populate_gt DD-MON-YYY
PO_HR_LOCATION populate_gt Before inserting values in global temp table
PO_HR_LOCATION populate_gt: After inserting values in global temp table
po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGENEnd of executing queries DD-MON-YYY
po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN inside manuplating l_xml_result
po.plsql.PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN ORA-22275: invalid LOB locator specified


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to the E-Business Suite and choose Purchasing Responsibility.
2. Submit the concurrent program PO Output for communication for any Purchase Order
3. Check the log file of the program
