Last updated on JUNE 13, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the interface to upload direct organization Transfer for an item that has restricted Subinventory and Locator enabled, the system allows locators other than restricted one.

The same transaction is throwing an error while trying to do it from Forms.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. From inventory responsibility, navigate to Transactions > Inter-organization Transfer , enter item that has restricted Subinventory and Locator enabled.
  2. Open the list of locators, only the locators that are defined as restricted appears in the list.
  3. Insert  record in the MTL_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE with to locator different than the restricted list using as guide line scenario 10 in the document:
Sample WMS Open Interface Insert Scripts -- How To Insert Into Transaction Open Interface MTL_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE Table (Doc ID 357535.1)
  4. Enable INV Debug profiles Run Inventory Manager from Inventory > Setup > Transactions > Launch Interface Managers > Process Transaction Interface > Tools > Launch.
  5. Review  results > Transaction has been processed successfully , Expect it would be stuck in interface with error.
  6. The debug log shows the following error:
INV_TXN_MANAGER_GRP: Error in validate_line : Transfer locator is not in the restricted list for the given item in transfer organization
But the transaction succeeds as if no error was raised.
