Mass Update via Web ADI Template Manage Extended Attributes Fails to Upload Extended Attribute Changes (Doc ID 3031201.1)

Symptoms

Mass Update via Web ADI template Manage Extended Attributes fails to upload extended attribute changes

Mass Update via Web ADI template Manage Extended Attributes fails to upload extended attribute changes. No errors are produced. The changed rows on the template spreadsheet are given a green icon. The confirmation message is 0 row(s) failed validation, and 0 row(s) successfully uploaded. Flagged rows selected with no rows flagged in the document. When we check the item instances we see that the extended attributes have not changed.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into IEWS ORACLE INSTALLED BASE AGENT USER or IEWS EAM ADMIN
  2. Click on Mass Update
  3. In the Create Batch Box pull down menu select the action Web ADI
  4. Click Go
  5. Enter unique Batch Name
  6. Enter Note
  7. Click on Action and select Search and Manage Extended Attributes
  8. Click Go
  9. Query using any Search attribute including Advanced Search
  10. Click Export Extended Attributes
  11. Select Viewer (Excel 2016)
  12. Click Create
  13. Click Open to Open the XLS file
  14. Click Enable Editing
  15. Click Enable Content
  16. Click Review > Unprotect Sheet
  17. Make the necessary changes to a selection of rows.
  18. File > Save as - Save the File
  19. Click on Oracle in the toolbar of the spreadsheet
  20. Click Upload
  21. Choose Upload Parameters
  22. Click Upload
  23. Receive Confirmation " 0 row(s) failed validation, and 0 row(s) successfully uploaded. Flagged rows selected with no rows flagged in the document
  24. Click Close
  25. Green Message appears in the last Column if successful
