Symptoms
When entering a alphanumeric Foreign Entity Taxpayer ID value in the Payables Invoice Workbench: Additional Information for Colombia window a form error is displayed with the following error:
If entering a numeric only Taxpayer ID value the error is not seen.
Per note: Colombian Foreign Taxpayer ID, Release 12 (Doc ID 2071732.1) a alphanumeric value is allowed for the Taxpayer ID value:
Section 3: Summary of Requirements Addressed
The following changes were implemented to meet the requirements, to properly capture the Foreign Taxpayer ID:
3.1 Suppliers and Customers Windows – Field Taxpayer ID
When the Taxpayer ID Type is 'Foreign Entity', the system applies the following validation:
The Taxpayer ID can be alpha-numeric;
It can accept up to 20 characters;
It must not be repetitive.
STEPS
A. Customer creates a supplier using Alpha-numeric value for the Taxpayer ID.
Navigate to Payables > Supplier page.
B. Customer attempts to use this Taxpayer ID:
1)Path: Invoices -> Enter -> Invoices (APXINWKB).
2)Query an invoice: Invoice Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Supplier: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
3)Go to Distributions.
4)Try to assign a Third Party to the distribution using the TAXPAYER ID field. Additional Information for Colombia, the error is seen.
