(Doc ID 3036850.1)
Last updated on JULY 28, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Depot Repair - Version 12.2.11 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
While creating estimate lines for a service order for two items belonging to the same price list, find that the price does not get defaulted for the item on the second estimate line.
The FND log file shows the following error:
bk 3 :ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small--6502
Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in with Depot Repair Manager responsibility.
2. Create a service order.
3. Enter two estimate lines for items that belong to the same price list (with a lengthier name).
The form defaults the price just for the first item.
