How to Identify the Employee Causing the Kansas State Periodic Wage Listing (Enhanced) SPWL Magnetic Report to Show Excess/Negative Value for State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Tax? (Doc ID 3039094.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to submit the State Quarterly Wage Listing Enhanced (SPWL)  for the State of Kansas the following error occurs.

The .a01 file shows column D SUI Wages in excess of limit for QTR    -52.50

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:


1. Using US SUPER HRMS Manager

2. Navigate to Submit Process and Reports > Single Request > State Periodic Wage Listing (Enhanced) submit the SPWL with the following parameters:

    State: KS

    Period: Quarter 2 2024

    Report Output All GREs - single output file

    Format EFW2

3. Allow the SPWL to run to completion.

4. Navigates to View > Payroll Process Results > query in Action_Type of Magnetic Report.

5.  Locate under the name Kansas-SPWL. > click on the OUTPUT button.

6.  Review the .a01 file observes the negative value of -52.50.

7.  The .a02 file does not report any employees with a negative balance.
