Creating a WebADI Template Is Creating Two Different Spreadsheets One Spreadsheet Name Ends With an ‘o’ That Is Not Useable (Doc ID 3048959.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2024

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

WEBADI Create Document is creating two different spreadsheets. One file name ends with an 'o', and the other does not. User can only see the one ending with 'o' first, but that one does not allow data to be uploaded.
Originally a blank spreadsheet was created, then it will close when the macro template was created.
Issue is seen with Non OOXML templates.

STEPS
-------
1. Using a responsibility that has access to create WebADI templates.
2. Navigate to the menu that allows creation of the template. Select Save and Open.
3. Receive confirmation spreadsheet is created.
4. The first Template (spreadsheet) is created ending with an ‘o’. However, this spreadsheet is not workable as it will not upload.
5. As a workaround to get the correct spread sheet in the 'o' template select upload, then close the upload.
6. Once the 'o' template upload is closed the correct spreadsheet displays and can be used.

This is happening with all WebADI templates (Journal Entries, GL Budgets, all project uploads).
Patch 36100160 R12.BNE.C was applied and issue remains.

Cleared the BNE cache and the PC too, and issue remains.
