Interface Trip Stop Errors When Returning Material Against Cancelled Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) When Profile RCV: Track Shipments For Return To Vendor Is Yes (Doc ID 3050359.1)

Symptoms

Users are trying to return material to vendor when profile RCV: Track shipments for Return to vendor is Yes. But, when the Advance shipment notice is cancelled, the Interface trip stop request errors. The same can be processed fine when the material is returned without shipping integration (RCV: Track shipments for Return to vendor is No) .

ERROR
Error is : rvtptcontrol failed

PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS shows below message -
Error code: RCV_ASN_SHIPMT_CANCELLED
Error: ASN XXXX is cancelled

STEPS
1. Inventory > Receiving > Returns > Enter PO > Find the item, enter qty, Save.
2. See Return order created
3. Shipping  Transactions > Query for return order > Actions: Autocreate Deliveries >Ship confirm.
4. Shipping > Interfaces > Run > Run interface trip stop for the delivery
5. See request completes in error
