Getting a 'FRM-40735: ON-INSERT Trigger Raised Unhandled Exception ORA-06502' Creating Contracts (Doc ID 3059021.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to save a newly added Service Contract in the authoring form, the following error occurs. 

ERROR
FRM-40735: ON-UPDATE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06510

STEPS
1. Create a new Service Agreement contract
2. Add the required details.
3. Click the save icon.
4. Get the indicated error.

 

The following error could also be encountered and has the same root cause and solution:

ERROR
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error.

Changes

This issue occurred on a newly upgraded instance.
