Symptoms

When a sales order containing a line item that uses a BOM is booked, picked and shipped, the item instances corresponding to the BOM items are not all created in Install Base, the configuration structure is incorrect and/or the configuration is missing some items.

Sales order may include base model, option classes, and options.

The Install Base configuration page correctly displays the top level item.

The missing items are Install Base trackable.

Profile options are correctly configured:
CSI: Explode BOM = Yes
CSI: BOM Explosion Level = 10

The IB configuration should show the parent/child relationship structure as described in the BOM and all trackable items should be shown.

This issue may occur for order fulfillments for the MACD / TSO (Telecommunications Service Ordering) flow as well. This uses configurations in a different way than standard ATO models, but the behaviour is similar.
