Symptoms
When attempting to terminate an employee using the API HR_EX_EMPLOYEE_API or within the Professional User Interface (PUI), the following error occurs.
APP-PAY-07490 The person must exist as an employee at the time specified by Start Date.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. XX HRMS Manager > People > Enter and Maintain > query in the employee
2. Others > End Employment
3. Error occurs upon termination
