Symptoms
The integration of Oracle XML Publisher with the Concurrent Managers is better known as the One-Step Publishing Method. This implies that one can use the standard request submission to submit the report concurrent program and at the same time provide the layout details (template name, template language and format):
- If you are using the Submit Request form, the Layout field of the Upon Completion region displays the currently selected template. To change the template, template language, or output format select the Options button.
- If you are using the HTML-based Schedule Request interface, select the template and output format from the Layout page of the process train.
The Layout Format Type is always defaulted to PDF and there is no such option available on the Concurrent Programs (HTML UI) page. It is only possible to specify the default Template Name. It is inconvenient for end users to change the default format from PDF to e.g. Excel every time a request is submitted.
A list of the available Format Types on the Submit Request form:
- EXCEL
- FO
- HTML
- RTF
