(Doc ID 458587.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3.2 and later Oracle Configurator - Version 11.5.9 and later Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
If an order has configurable models on its order lines, attempting to book the order fails when performing the following steps: 1. Log into any Order Management Responsibility. 2. Enter a new Sales Order. 3. Navigate to the Lines tab and add an ATO or PTO model. 4. Configure an item. 5. Book the order. Result: The attempt to book the order fails, with the following message:
Configuration validation resulted in error(s).
This issue is typically observed when all orders fail to book with the above error message. This message does not itself confirm there is a setup issue, there are cases when this message is expected. For example, if an incomplete configuration is saved for an order or there is an exception during Configurator runtime, this message will be expected to occur. This issue is specific to when all orders are failing to book regardless of the associated items.
Changes
The following combination of environment changes often triggers the problem:
The environment is SSL-enabled
A value is provided for the AltBatchValidateURL setting in the CZ_DB_SETTINGS table
Network setup changes, such as SSL certificate or other various database / middle tier network updates
