Discoverer Adupdeul Gets SECURITY_APPL_LOGIN_FAILED and Unresolved Symbol Errors in libfnd115.sl in e-Business Suite R12

Symptoms
The user is following the instructions in <Note:373634.1> to integrate Oracle
Business Intelligence Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.0.2) with e-Business Suite 12.0.1 on HP-UX PA-RISC 64-bit.
The user has installed Discoverer in a standalone Non Single Sign-On architecture.
Whilst performing step 7.3 of section 6 (Import Discoverer Content for Release 12 using
adupdeul.sh), the import script records the following errors in the directory /<DIR>/Discoverer~SessionServer~1:
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: edata (data) from /<DIR>/libfnd115.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: end (data) from /<DIR>/libfnd115.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved module for symbol: afsysfiles (code) from /<DIR>/libfnd115.sl
