Symptoms

When creating an Engineering Change Order (ECO) to disable a component on a revised item, the following caution message is displayed.

Error
The effectivity dates you have entered are overlapping with the existing dates for the component &REVISED_COMPONENT_NAME on the bill.



Steps
1. Navigate to Engineering > ECOs > ECOs
2. Create an Engineering change order (ECO).
3. Try to change the quantity of a component.
4. Receive the error.
