Cannot Search On An Item With A Long Description

This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
Long description for item is not displayed in the iProcurement's item search results page. Even in item details page, the long description is not shown.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter a long description in master items
2. In iProcurement, search for an existing item with long description
3. Click to see the item details
4. Long description is not displayed
