Symptoms

The Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4.0 for Windows has been installed on a client PC. The Oracle BI Publisher Template Viewer fails to start and the Template Builder for Microsoft Word is not able to generate any Preview output.

1. Oracle BI Publisher Template Viewer

The Oracle BI Publisher Template Viewer is available from the Oracle BI Publisher Desktop program group:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click All Programs.
  3. Click Oracle BI Publisher Desktop.
  4. Launch the Template Viewer.

This results in the following error:
