CRM Error: FRM-40654: How To Troubleshoot And Resolve Service Request And Task Locking Issues (Doc ID 748144.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Teleservice - Version 11.5.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Users within the system are typically getting locking errors on Service Requests and Tasks.

Sometimes these appear to valid locks (ie. a user is actually within a Service Request performing an edit), but other times there may be other reasons for a lock to occur -- contention, user has left for the day and forgot to clear or close application, etc.

What are recommended methods for determining additional information about the locks such as:

a) What user is locking the record?

b) How long has the lock been in effect?

c) What row or record is being locked?

d) What object is locked?
