Forms implemented in Servlet mode


When using Oracle Applications 11i with IBM WebSeal or a similar reverse proxy, the following error may occur when attempting to launch forms:

FRM-92050: Failed to connect to the server :/forms/formsservlet -1

Details ...
Java Exception Negative content-length from https://host.domain:port/forms/formsservlet?

When using Release 12, a similar error appears:

FRM-92050: Failed to connect to Server: /forms/lservlet:-1 Negative content-length from /forms/lservlet?ifcmd=getinfo . . .

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into Applications using http(s)://host.domain:port 
   (Replace host, domain, and port with that of WebSeal Server)

2. Launch forms by selecting any forms based responsibility.

The issue does not occur when the forms listener is implemented in socket mode.


The issue occurs when implementing the forms listener servlet with the IBM WebSEAL / Tivoli Access Manager as a reverse proxy.
