5.5: OTM: Issue with adding Shipment Events Through Integration

Symptoms
When we create an event xml message and upload the message via xml upload screen, it is observed that though the transmission and transaction message are marked as Processed, the events is not persisted on the shipment group. The IE_SHIPMENTSTATUS table do get populated but the SG_EVENT_GROUP and SG_STATUS_HISTORY does not get populated. Hence the events are never linked to the Shipment Group.
