Last updated on MAY 31, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Find that after applying a material status to a Lot Control item that should disallow a specific transaction type, the transaction can still be performed.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new Material Status
Path: Inventory -> Setup -> Transactions -> Material Status
Create a Material Status with Perform Miscellaneous in the ‘Disallowed Transactions’ section.

2. Setup the Item for lot status control in the Organization Items form
Path: Inventory -> Items -> Organization Items
Query the item
Enable lot status control for the item

3. Update Lot status
Path: Inventory -> On hand, Availability -> Lots
Update the status for a lot to the created Material Status

4. Transaction test
Path: Inventory -> Transactions -> Miscellaneous Transaction
Select the transaction type ‘Miscellaneous Receipt’
Enter the item and the lot which has the created Material Status assigned

The transaction will save even though the Lot is assigned a Material Status which disallows Miscellaneous Transactions.
