Symptoms

In Applications Release 11.5.10.2, you have a business requirement to change from using Perpetual Weighted Average (PWAC) to Period Moving Average (PMAC) actual costing.

The system allowed you to update the Cost Method record, but now when you run the OPM Actual Cost processor (GMCACOST) it is showing these warning messages :

Warning: Cannot find the inv Balance for item xxxx in whse xxx for cal xx.
Some cost cmpnt in cal: xx per: x cannot be found for item: xxxx whse: xxx

Is there a recommended way of switching from one type of Actual Costing to another?
