While Trying to Assign a Cost Code to an Employee Error APP-PER-06645: This operation will cause duplicate Costing Data to be Created (Doc ID 844958.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to assign a cost code to one employee, the following error occurs:

Cause: For a given Assignment on a specific day there must only be one occurrence of any Cost Code
Combination. This operation will cause duplicate information to be created for one or more days
during the life time of the Assignment.

Action: Rollback the change and ensure that any further operations will not cause duplicate data.
The employee has no cost code attached.

Steps To Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Navigate to HRMS Responsibility > People > Enter & Maintain > Query the Employee
Click on Assignment button > Click on Others button > Select Costing from the LOV
Assign a particular cost code to the employee -> Getting Error while saving.
