Changes to Printer Properties->Orientation doesn't remain (Doc ID 946732.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Application Object Library - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to 11i ATG RUP6 and to JRE, in the forms application, when the toolbar option File>Print is chosen, one can click the printer properties and change the Orientation from the default of portrait to landscape. Although this works, once the change is made and the screen print is complete, the user has to go back to printer properties and change the format again to print the next form. This worked prior to upgrades to ATG RUP 6 and to JRE.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Navigate to any forms application.
2. Choose file->print from tool bar.
3. Change the orientation from Portrait to Landscape and then complete print.
4. Choose file->print from tool bar again. The change to the orientation doesn't remain.
