CL VAMI: System Not Picking Up The Correct Interest Calc Method (Doc ID 2905893.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking - Version 14.3.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

When user trying to do a VAMI for a loan account, system is not taking the correct ‘Days in months’ and ‘days in year’ for the main interest component.
For the product, it is defaulted to be picked up from the currency maintenance, which is ‘Actual/360’. However, system seems to be picking up Euro (30)/Actual for the interest calculation and the interest calculation goes wrong.

Expected Behavior

System is expected to take the interest calculation logic from the maintenance at the product level.

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a CL account
2. Input the mandatory details and click on product default
3. Under components tab, click on edit schedule and add some more schedules and don't give Days in Month / Year fields.
4. Click on explode and check the fields Days in Month / Year in schedule definition.
