Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When a corporate approver user goes to the pending for approval screen and searches a record by giving an incomplete reference number like 2-3 digits, the system throws an error  "system cannot process request".

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The system should show the appropriate error message as "please enter the correct reference number or reference number entered is incorrect" , which should be more informative.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to an application as a corporate checker user
2. Pending for approval screen -> Open any transaction -> enter the incomplete reference number.
3. The above-mentioned error was noted.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are not getting appropriate error messages on the screen.

No changes done to hardware/product or environment cause this issue.
