On Modification Of Customer Account The Account Description Is Defaulted To Customer Name (Doc ID 2993409.1)

On modification of Customer account the account description is defaulted to customer name

Bank has created a customer with certain name. Later during account creation, they have modified the account description with a name different from the customer name (added a detail to distinguish). On saving the account the account description remains the same (with the value input by the user). However later when the user performs a modification of the customer account for changing any other attributes, system is defaulting the account description with the customer name.

This should not happen, since the account description was updated by the user at the time of account creation.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a CASA Account with Account NAme diffrent from CIF name
2. Save & Authorize the Account
3. Modify the Account and validate the Name populated

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot amend the CASA account correctly
