ECM-CRR:Validation Required When Closed SAR/CAR Filed. (Doc ID 3000700.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Regulatory Reporting - Version 8.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the Closed SAR/CAR filed action is taken, a CRR(SAR) case and a regular CAR case will be generated. A duplicate CAR will also be created if the user reopens the case and retakes the same action on the case. When a case is already open, the system ought to have a validation that prevents it from creating another CAR case.

Reopening of the ECM case and taking an action SAR filed and closed should perform a validation before creating a case in the CRR, whether status of the CRR is Fincen filed or not, If the earlier filed case is still in the open status we can update the current case with the Continuous activity.

Ideally, unless the First file is filed with FinCEN duplicate report shouldn't be created in the CRR system.
