'Switch To Default Layout' Functionality Is Not Working

Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
After Admin maps a custom dashboard to a retail user, upon clicking on 'switch to default layout' option, retail users are unable to load factory shipped dashboard.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
After Admin maps a custom dashboard to a retail user, upon clicking on 'switch to default layout' option, retail users should be able to load factory shipped dashboard.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into OBDX as Admin user -> Create a custom dashboard -> map it to user type- Retail
2. Log into OBDX as Retail user -> User will see custom dashboard -> If user personalizes the dash board and adds few widgets
3. If user clicks on switch to default layout -> same custom and personalized dashboard loads.
Changes
No changes done to hardware/product or environment cause this issue.
