Purpose

This note describes how to export a single SOA composite or a  MetaData store (MDS) , review the exports,  and use Oracle JDeveloper to browse an MDS connection and import SOA composites for review or modification .
With Oracle Fusion Middleware 11G, applications and configurations for some of the components like the SOA Suite are stored within the MDS layer.  This also applies to Oracle Fusion Applications which is built on top of the Oracle SOA Suite.
Users review the contents of the MDS  to validate deployed composites, versions and component configuration files.  Also, Oracle Support may request MDS exported files for SR troubleshooting.
