Purpose
Summary:
This document lists frequently asked questions about defining warehouse administration functions. Materials Management setup includes defining and managing ABC class information, material statuses, lot information, picking rules, transaction types, and planners. Outbound logistics setup includes defining pick wave information, release rules, container item load relationship, shipping cost types, ship confirm rule, and shipping exceptions. Set up the enterprise information management process to set up tasks used across supply chain management -- inbound logistics (define receiving options), select inventory management tasks (shipping networks, intercompany transaction flows, locator and item locator, subinventory information, inventory organization information, unit of measure information), and outbound logistics tasks (assigning transportation schedule, defining shipping parameter, defining transit time, managing carrier information including ship methods).
