Goal

This document provides instructions on how to convert Standard Item into SKU Item when existing Style item exists in system. This functionality is available from release 11.1.6.0.0

We can convert a Standard Item into SKU on 2 scenarios:

Scenario A. The Style Item which will be associated to the Standard Item which will be converted into SKU exists already on the system.

Scenario B.  The Style Item which will be associated to the Standard Item which will be converted into SKU does  not exist on system yet.

Both scenarios will be covered on this note. They are very similar, the only difference is, when the Style Item does not exist in system, you need to create the style item coiped from the standard item (associated to the required Item Class with proper variant attributes). Once the style item has been created, from Edit item page, you can Convert Standard to SKU, converting your Standard Item.
