Symptoms

Document History shows Vacation Delegated Approver instead of Original Approver, and no notification copy sent to person who is on vacation.  The person who is on vacation does not know what actions were taken on their behalf while away.

When there is a Delegate action via Vacation rule, a notification is sent to the delegatee, but no notification to the delegator - the person who setup the vacation rule.  Also, the action history shows the delegatee as taking approve action, rather than showing the delegator as the approver.

EXPECTATION
Customer expects both the delegatee and the delegator should get notification, and expects the action history should indicate that the delegatee took action on behalf of the delegator

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Setup vacation rule for requisition approval for a particular user(User1). According to the rule, when approval for the requisition is assigned to this user then it is "delegated" to another person(User2).

EXAMPLE
a. Navigate to BPM Worklist while logged in as User 1
b. Setup & Maintenance - > Manage Approval group for Procurement - > Preferences
c. Click on Enable vacation period checkbox and Enter Start Date Apr 22, 2013, and End date Apr 23, 2013, and Save
d. Click on User Rules on the left menu
e. Search and Select the Task Type ( For Requisition : “ReqApproval”)
f. Complete the remaining details
Name = User Rule
Use as vacation rule
Execute rule only between these dates:
  Start Date Apr 30, 2013
  End Date May 1, 2013
IF
  Add Condition = Start Date
THEN
   Delegate to = User 2 - delegatee

2. Login as User 3 - preparer. Create and submit requisition 205 for approval

3. Login as User 2 - delegatee

See notification in Recent Notifications list
Delegated:Requisition 205 Submitted by User 3 - preparer

8. Click to approve

9. Login as User 4 - next approver

See notification in recent notifications

Routed:Requisition 205 Submitted by User 3 - preparer

10. View Document History

Document History: 205

Action Performed Performed By Action Date
Submit requisition (User 3 - preparer) 4/30/13 1:24 PM Requisition 205
Approve (User 2 - delegatee) 4/30/13 1:30 PM (User 2 - delegatee) Expect this should show User 1 - delegator
Approve (User 4 - next approver) 4/30/13 1:35 PM

IMPACT
On submitting the requisition for approval, the person for whom delegation rule is set(User 1) doesn't receive any notification and is therefore not aware of what notifications were delegated per his rule while he was away.
Also, on complete approval of the requisition the approver name is (User 2), although User2 was simply acting on behalf of User 1. The customer expects that User 1 should be shown for the Approve action in action history
Per customer, according to delegation functionality, the User 1 should get notification and also on approval history User 1 name should appear.

This same issue occurs for PO approval when delegation is used.
