Fusion Compensation: Storing Of Full-Time-Equivalent Salary (Doc ID 1569614.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Compensation - Version 11.1.5.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Fusion holds no option to store the Full Time Equivalence salary for part timers instead of the actual salary.
Many legacy systems and typical implementations base their salary records on the Full-Time Equivalent to drive payroll and interfaces.
Also, in a corporate culture that promotes frequent changes of working hours between part time and full time it is desirable to handle hours independently from salary.
The way Fusion is currently built, the salary has to be manually adjusted after every hours change.
This is mainly relevant to salaries stored as annual amounts.

Hence the request to provide an option to store it the other way round.
What we're looking for is a flag on the salary basis (or potentially a profile option) to indicate that the stored value is the Full Time Equivalence value.
This should drive all screens and reports that display an additional "Annualized Full-Time Salary" and that second field should either be hidden in such cases or simply show the same amount that is stored in the salary record. An additional field "Actual Salary" which shows the prorated-down part-time salary would be beneficial as well.
