Fusion Global Payroll: Generate Payslips Process Ends in Error

Symptoms
When a particular user submits the Process 'Generate Payslips', the process ends in error. But none of employees will be in error. Payslips are generated. Only the overall process doesn't complete successfully and sends out mail to users that the process ended in error.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Payroll Checklist / input process name click search
2. In the search area, click on Process .
3. On Payroll Flow page, we see that Generate Payslips has status with errors
