Data Collection Process Ends In Error Status

The data collection process ends in error when submitted from Manage Planning Data Collection Process page.
Some of the data being collected includes Currency, UOM, Item Cost etc.
The issue can be reproduced by executing the following steps:
1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance (FSM)
2. Search for and select the task - Collect Planning Data
3. Perform Data Collection for the desired attributes
