Segment Lable Code "SEGMENTn" is recognized as column name during create accounting process (Doc ID 2890763.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Subledger Accounting Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.04.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If the segment label code is one of the following, the segment label is identified as column name, not as segment qualifier, during create accounting process.

SEGMENT1,SEGMENT2,SEGMENT3,SEGMENT4,SEGMENT5,SEGMENT6,SEGMENT7
SEGMENT8,SEGMENT9,SEGMENT10,SEGMENT11,SEGMENT12,SEGMENT13
SEGMENT14,SEGMENT15,SEGMENT16,SEGMENT17,SEGMENT18,SEGMENT19
SEGMENT20,SEGMENT21,SEGMENT22,SEGMENT23,SEGMENT24,SEGMENT25
SEGMENT26,SEGMENT27,SEGMENT28,SEGMENT29,SEGMENT30

For example, if the segment label code is "SEGMENT4" and used in Description Rule,
the segment label is recognized as column name whether or not the segment label is assigned to a segment of AFF.
So, the segment label in the description rule returns the value of GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS.SEGMENT4.
