Email Notifications Triggered Through Custom Object Workflow On Contracts Sends Emails To Incorrect Addressees (Doc ID 2915728.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

Email Notification is sent to the wrong user when a custom object is approved or rejected.

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

-----------------

Email Notification has to be sent to the Created By User based on the E-Mail template setup in the Custom Object.

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will as below

  1. Create a Custom Object Workflow for an approval and rejection action of the custom object record under Contracts offering.
  2. Enable the E-Mail template and select the TO address to Created By of the custom object record.
  3. Create a transaction in the custom object and click on Actions and Approve the transaction.
  4. Email Notification is triggered to a wrong email address instead of sending to the 'Created_by' user.
