Last updated on JULY 02, 2024

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.0 and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Private Cloud Appliance X9-2
Linux x86
Linux x86-64
Linux ARM 64-bit

Goal

Originally, users were required to log in to the Unbreakable Linux Network (ULN) Web UI in order to modify the channel subscription of registered systems or to configure a system as a local YUM server.

The latest versions of rhn-setup package offer the uln-channel command-line utility allowing users to modify the channel subscription of registered systems and to configure systems as a local YUM server. The utility provides for simplified channel management that can be scripted if/as required.
