Only One Network Interface Out of Two Interfaces Works, While Both Interfaces are Configured on Two Different VLANs (Doc ID 1993199.1)

Last updated on MARCH 23, 2022

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 5.0 and later
Linux x86
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

PVHVM guest running with Oracle Linux 6.5 has two VIFs (virtual interfaces) connected to two different VLANs failed to run together. Only one of the two VIFs working at a time.

eth1 configured for VLAN-13 while eth2 configured for VLAN-19.

When eth1 brought down (ifdown eth1), eth2 interface works and vice-versa.

Note: IP address range specified is for explanation purpose only.

Changes
